Vikings to add DE Jordan Brailford to active roster, DE Eddie Yarbrough to practice squad
The Vikings are planning to make moves this week on a pair of defensive ends.
Minnesota picked up Jordan Brailford off Washington’s practice squad, and plan to sign him to the 53-man roster. A source said he arrived in the Twin Cities on Monday for two days of coronavirus testing. If everything checks out, he will be signed, and the Vikings would need to make a roster move to create a spot for him.
Brailford would add depth to the defensive line after the Vikings on Saturday waived defensive end Eddie Yarbrough to clear a spot for safety George Iloka, who was signed off the practice squad. Yarbrough cleared waivers Monday, and a source said he will join Minnesota’s practice squad.
Brailford was selected in the seventh round of the 2019 draft out of Oklahoma State by Washington, and spent his rookie season on injured reserve. He was waived just before the start of this season, and then was signed to the practice squad.
Yarbrough, a four-year veteran, played 22 snaps in Minnesota’s opener against Green Bay. He then was inactive for three straight games after rookie D.J. Wonnum moved ahead of him on the depth chart.
