WATCH LIVE: Hurricane Zeta moving through South Mississippi HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Strong wind gusts continue as Hurricane Zeta moves through south Mississippi. The National Weather Service in Jackson reported the center of Zeta was moving into southern Forrest County around 8:40 p.m. A Tornado Watch is currently in effect for Wayne, Greene, Perry, George, Stone and Pearl River counties. That will last until midnight. Thousands of people are without power in the Pine Belt as Zeta moves through south Mississippi. Hurricane Zeta made landfall as a Category 2 Hurricane along the Louisiana coast near Cocodrie Wednesday afternoon. This ties the record for the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the United States this late in the year. The last time this occurred was 1899. What to expect: There will be some localized flooding, with water coming up in people’s yards and the creeks may rise a bit for a short period of time during some of the heavy rain within the rainbands....
