Tony Lewis, singer for The Outfield, dies 'suddenly and unexpectedly' at 62 Tony Lewis, singer and bassist of English rock band The Outfield, died at age 62.  He died "suddenly and unexpectedly" on Monday near London, according to a statement from publicist Bari Lieberman.  The Outfield formed in 1984 and remained active for about three decades. Their hits included “Your Love,” “All the Love” and “Say It Isn’t So.” “Your Love” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. Lewis later went solo, dropping album "Out of the Darkness" in 2018. An EP, "Unplugged – The Acoustic Sessions," came out in May. "Tony’s music touched people around the globe for decades," the statement said. His "legacy will live on forever through his beautiful family and his legendary music."
