Chiefs freeze out Broncos, coast to win in the snow DENVER – The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t need the usual heroics from Patrick Mahomes to rout the Denver Broncos 43-16 Sunday for their 10th straight win over their AFC West rivals. The Chiefs (6-1) found other ways to dominate Denver (2-4) on a snowy afternoon that began with a temperature of 14 degrees at kickoff. Kansas City took a 24-9 halftime lead even though Mahomes completed just one pass in the second quarter, a 5-yarder, and had just 99 yards through the air in the first half. Mahomes finally extended his NFL-leading streak to 17 consecutive games with a touchdown throw when he hit Tyreek Hill from 10 yards with 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Justin Herbert notches first NFL win as Chargers top Jaguars INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Justin Herbert got his first NFL win, throwing for 347 yards and three touchdowns as well as running for a score as the Los Angeles Chargers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 39-29 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Herbert, the sixth overall pick in April’s draft, completed 27 of 43 passes. He also rushed for 66 yards, a single-game high for a Chargers QB. Herbert joined Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow as the only rookie quarterbacks in NFL history with 300 yards, at least three passing TDs, and one rushing in a game. Game recap: Dallas Cowboys lose to Washington after QB Andy Dalton knocked out of game with concussion from illegal hit This story has been thoroughly updated. Washington won against Dallas 25-3 Sunday, bringing both teams to 2-5 on the season, tying them for second place in the NFC East standings. Philadelphia leads 2-4-1.  Andy Dalton started at quarterback after replacing  injured starter Dak Prescott  hoping to turn things around.  But Dalton walked off the field late into the third quarter after taking a vicious hit from Washington linebacker Jon Bostic. He has a concussion and will be out for the rest of the game. The hit occurred on a third-down play with 6:32 left in the third quarter. Dalton scrambled up the middle on 3rd-and-10 and as he slid to the ground, Bostic lowered his helmet and hit Dalton’s helmet squarely.  Dalton appeared to be knocked unconscious momentarily. Dallas Cowboys quarterback  Dak Prescott was taken to a nearby hospital  after he suffered a serious leg injury during the second half of Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Prescott got tangled awkwardly with Giants defensive back Logan Ryan during a tackle, and his ankle buckled as it rolled underneath Logan's leg. Concern for Prescott was immediate from both teams. Former Cowboys coach and current Giants offensive coordinator  Jason Garrett was among the first people  on the field to check on Prescott. As Prescott left the field on the cart, current and former NFL players were absolutely heartbroken for the Cowboys quarterback.
