DK Metcalf Makes "Most Remarkable" Play In Seahawks Loss At Arizona Without touching the ball, DK Metcalf had a play that had everyone raving after Sunday night’s loss in Arizona.  Through five games, Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf was one of the NFL's most productive pass catchers with 496 yards and five touchdowns. He had a relatively quiet game, numbers wise, in Sunday night's 37-34 overtime loss to Arizona.  But despite catching only two passes for 23 yards, Metcalf made one of the best plays of this season, one that had teammates and opponents raving after the game, and that had football fans going crazy on social media.  With the Seahawks driving for what they hoped would be another touchdown, Russell Wilson lofted a pass towards Chris Carson, not seeing that Cardinals safety Budda Baker was breaking on the ball.  Baker picked off Wilson's pass and took off sprinting down the left sideline for what looked like it was going to be a 98-yard touchdown, but Metcal

Bill Belichick says Patriots ‘absolutely’ plan to stick with Cam Newton as starting quarterback The Patriots' coach admitted his team was "out-coached, out-played, out-everything." Would Newton — who has thrown zero touchdowns and five interceptions in his last two games (both losses) — remain the Patriots’ starting quarterback? “Absolutely,” Belichick responded. “Just wanted to get [Stidham] a little experience here.” On the team’s performance overall, Belichick acknowledged the team’s collective struggles. “We were clearly out-coached, outplayed. Just out-everything,” Belichick admitted. In his assessment of the loss, Belichick pla

Chiefs freeze out Broncos, coast to win in the snow DENVER – The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t need the usual heroics from Patrick Mahomes to rout the Denver Broncos 43-16 Sunday for their 10th straight win over their AFC West rivals. The Chiefs (6-1) found other ways to dominate Denver (2-4) on a snowy afternoon that began with a temperature of 14 degrees at kickoff. Kansas City took a 24-9 halftime lead even though Mahomes completed just one pass in the second quarter, a 5-yarder, and had just 99 yards through the air in the first half. Mahomes finally extended his NFL-leading streak to 17 consecutive games with a touchdown throw when he hit Tyreek Hill from 10 yards with 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. That made it 37-9 and compelled Broncos pass rusher Bradley Chubb to blow up at his teammates on the sideline. Mahomes’ TD throw to Hill followed the Chiefs’ fourth takeaway, an interception by Tyrann Mathieu when rookie KJ Hamler let Drew Lock’s pass bounce off him and right

Justin Herbert notches first NFL win as Chargers top Jaguars INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Justin Herbert got his first NFL win, throwing for 347 yards and three touchdowns as well as running for a score as the Los Angeles Chargers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 39-29 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Herbert, the sixth overall pick in April’s draft, completed 27 of 43 passes. He also rushed for 66 yards, a single-game high for a Chargers QB. Herbert joined Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow as the only rookie quarterbacks in NFL history with 300 yards, at least three passing TDs, and one rushing in a game. Burrow did that earlier Sunday in the Bengals’ 37-34 loss to the Cleveland Browns. More importantly for Herbert, was that first win as an NFL starting quarterback despite Los Angeles blowing another large lead. Jacksonville (1-6) tied an NFL record by allowing 30 or more points in six consecutive games. The Chargers jumped to a 16-0 second-quarter lead but squandered a double-di

The Arizona Cardinals will play host to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football this week in an exciting NFC West battle. The 5-0 Seahawks are the favorites to take home the NFC West crown this season, but it is undoubtedly a tough division and the 4-2 Cardinals are one of the most dangerous young team in the NFL. Seattle quarterback  Russell Wilson  is having the best year of his outstanding career, completing 72.8% of his passes for 1,502 yards, a league-leading 19 touchdowns and only three interceptions. The Seahawks are letting Wilson cook this season, allowing him to spread the ball around the field and let his playmakers work. Second-year rec

Raiders stun Chiefs as Carr shines and defense excels in second half at Arrowhead

Seven years of misery at Arrowhead Stadium ended for the Raiders with a 40-32 win over the unbeaten defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. It was a signature win for quarterback Derek Carr,  who was  0-6 at Kansas City, as well as the biggest win in the second tenure of coach Jon Gruden. Carr had touchdown passes of 59 yards to Nelson Agholor, 5 yards to Darren Waller and 72 yards to rookie Henry Ruggs III, with Josh Jacobs (23 carries, 77 yards) adding touchdown runs of seven and two yards. Carr completed 22 of 31 passes for 347 yards, shaking off an early interception that led to a Chiefs touchdown. It was a Carr quarterback sneak on fourth-and-1 with less than two-minutes to play at the Chiefs’ 45 yard line that sealed the win. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott to undergo surgery on compound ankle fracture

ARLINGTON, Texas — The ambulance was ready as Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was carted off the field, tears streaming down his face. Prescott was transported to a local hospital immediately and is scheduled to undergo surgery Sunday night for a compound ankle fracture and dislocation he suffered in a win against the Giants. The gruesome injury occurred in the third quarter when Prescott scrambled 9 yards left, tangling with Giants defensive back Logan Ryan on Ryan’s tackle. Prescott’s right leg was turned out as he sat, devastated, near the left sideline of the red zone. The stadium went quiet as players attempted to process the injury to the quarterback who had started 68 straight games since Dallas selected him in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. Prescott was treated with sterile dressing on site before surgery to wash the wound and fix the fracture. Even Giants coordinator Jason Garrett, Prescott’s coach for the quarterback's first four years, approached Cowboys coac
