Three questions: Sounders at Rapids

Max Aquino / Sounder at Heart

The 2020 MLS regular season has been a roller coaster for the Colorado Rapids, having had five straight matches cancelled because of a COVID-19 outbreak. I talked with Abbie from the Burgundy Wave to get a sense of what’s going on ahead of the match with the Seattle Sounders.

Sounder at Heart: So, this is a really weird season for the Rapids. What’s it been like being a fan during this roller coaster?

Burgundy Wave: It’s been a tough season for Rapids fans. We came into 2020 with a lot of hope after Robin Fraser took over last season and they started with a road win and a home win, which was great. Then the MLS is Back Tournament happened and they struggled to get going again, which really shook everyone’s confidence. Getting a big (first) win in Sandy against RSL and bringing home the Rocky Mountain Cup was huge and right as the Rapids were picking up momentum, the COVID-19 outbreak ran through the club. But now, here we are, with a real possibility at the playoffs, so hopefully it will all end well.

The biggest downside is that fans aren’t allowed in the stadium and many fans can’t watch the games due to Altitude’s issues with local cable companies. It’s a very big pain point for fans and has really affected local enthusiasm for the club.

SAH: The Rapids traded away Kei Kamara this season. Who is the most goal dangerous player for Colorado?

BW: While Kei Kamara was a dangerous aerial threat, other guys have stepped up in his place and it hasn’t really been an issue. Cole Bassett was on a hot streak before the COVID-19 outbreak, with three goals and two assists in four games. If Diego Rubio gets in a groove, he can be dangerous. Jonathan Lewis has been getting more time lately and scored two goals in two games before the break. And you can’t count out Andre Shinyashiki, so for once, the Rapids have a few scoring options.

SAH: I was really happy to see Robin Fraser finally get a head coaching gig in MLS. How’s he been doing in Colorado and what are some key takeaways from his first season?

BW: Robin Fraser is generally well-liked by fans and has done a decent job so far. They almost squeaked into the playoffs last year and this year has been so weird that I think it’s difficult to really take much away, to be honest. There have been questions about his game management and usage of subs, as he typically waits until pretty late in the game to sub players in and it doesn’t usually work out well. Other than that, he’s made some smart roster decisions and never wavers in his belief in the players. Assuming things get somewhat back to normal next season, I think that will be a bigger indication of what Fraser and this club are capable of.

Today I'm sharing with you the movies that made me walk out of a theater, and it will shock you.

Recently,  Stephen King  took to  Twitter  and revealed that the only movie he's walked out of (as an adult) is  Transformers . @StephenKing He then wondered what movies other people have walked out of? So, we  posed the question  to our  BuzzFeed Community , and their responses were kinda surprising: Note: This article contains mentions of sexual assault. 1.   Crash  (1996) "This is a movie about people who fetishize CAR CRASHES. Yup, they are turned on by looking at injured, suffering, bleeding people trapped in smashed-up cars, lying on the street, etc. So, yeah...the movie involves these sick puppies searching for crashes and literally having sex with each other while watching/driving through or even causing car crashes, and then there's a scene with injured people in back braces, and I left the theater then because nope." — sunshined Fine Line Features / Courtesy Everett Collection 2.   Fantastic Four  (2015) "The movie spent way too long character-buildin

’No guarantee’: Hamilton drops F1 bombshell after history-making victory Lewis Hamilton is just one win away from another world championship. Source:  AFP Lewis Hamilton stunned Formula One on Sunday when, hours after winning the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, he admitted that he did not know if he would still be in the sport next season. Speaking during a post-race news conference, the six-time world champion told reporters there was “no guarantee” that he would continue and added that “there’s a lot that excites me with the after-life - time will tell!” Hamilton’s victory, a record-extending 93rd of his career, in Sunday’s race clinched Mercedes’ record seventh consecutive constructors title - an achievement he attributed to the team’s “unsung heroes” and the leadership of team boss Toto Wolff. Both men are out of contract at the end of this season and, for that reason, the subjects of much speculation. Watch the 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship™ on KAYO. Every practice, qualifyin

LA Rams LT Andrew Whitworth playing younger as time goes on Despite his status as one of the oldest NFL offensive lineman, LA Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth is playing like he’s in his prime The LA Rams  brought back venerable offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth for another three-year run with the team as the starting left tackle. As the offseason began,  we  explored what options did the Rams truly have for their left tackle  position.  We concluded that, for better or worse, the Rams had no alternative. They had to bring back Whitworth. Of course, when a player is nearly 39 years old and at one of the most physically demanding positions of the NFL, you would expect age to impact performance somewhat. And yes, it has. Perhaps not in the way you might expect, though.  You see, after six games, Whitworth is performing at one of the best levels of his lengthy career. With a little help from his friends Per Pro Football Focus, he is the best offensive tackle in the NFL. And for all inten
