Saigon house features 'outdoor room'
Located on a 160-meter piece of land in bustling Binh Thanh District, the house is home to a three-member family, which wanted to have an open structure with trees and plants. |
The house is arch shaped. The entrance and the outdoor living space form an atrium, and is protected by a pattered steel mesh. |
The arch space, seven meters high, is where natural light and wind can enter the house. Homeowners plan to open a coffee shop at this space in the future. |
Another arch space on the second floor is also open to nature. The homeowners want only two bedrooms for their living space, so architects place these bedrooms on the third floor, giving more open space for the first and second floors. |
